Thanks to some generous donors like you, 10 boys who survived a fire at the detention center in Tonacatapeque now have new clothes and Bibles.
One boy was killed in the July 7 fire that broke out in an isolation unit. The 10 other boys escaped through a small hole broken through cinder blocks. In the weeks to come, the 10 incarcerated youth — all of whom are Christians — will begin helping repaint and repair their living area in the isolation unit.
Because of you, our donors, Orphan Helpers was able to purchase new lighting, a sink and fresh paint in order to refurbish the damaged areas of the center.
On behalf of all the boys in Tonacatapeque, we say, “Muchas Gracias,” to our supporters.
