What use to be known as the ABC Center was resurrected as the Genesis Center in early 2011. After being vacant for over 2 years, Orphan Helpers received the stamp of approval by the first lady of Honduras to reopen the center. This 10-acre plot of land encompasses multiple dormitories, two school buildings, a clinic, administration building, a water purification cistern, and more. Genesis will be managed by this new model called ANA, Ayudandos Niños Abandanados (Helping Abandoned Children), which is the collaboration between the Central American government and the private sector. Orphan Helpers plans to be the key facilitator for ANA by creating working partnerships between local Central American businesses, organizations, churches and the government.
