"Sendero de Libertad" (the Way of Freedom) holds around 180 boys and 50 girls, aged 15-20. There are two populations: the provisional and the definitive houses.  Those who are provisional have been accused of a crime and are waiting for trial and sentencing.  The definitives are those who have already been sentenced by the court to serve their detention time here. These boys and girls have committed various crimes such as robbery, assault, kidnapping, prostitution, drug abuse, and murder. Orphan Helpers is working to reach these kids for Jesus Christ through our 6 staff members who teach, advise, and counsel them.  The staff teaches basic education and discipleship classes.  We also hold daily devotionals and organize sports and games in the center.  Many of the boys from the Faith House have come out of this center.
