Thank you to all our participants and sponsors—the 2nd Annual Orphan Helpers Golf Classic raised nearly $50,000!! The June 13th event at Ford’s Colony, Williamsburg attracted more than 170 golfers from throughout Hampton Roads!
This year’s event highlight was a Golf Ball Drop. Participants watched as more than 500 balls cascaded from a helicopter piloted by Andy Gibbs of Hampton Roads Helicopters., who donated his services. The first place winner walked away with a week’s stay at a Peppertree Resort in North Carolina. Second and third place prizes were a weekend golf getaway to Ford’s Colony and a 42” flat screen television.

Liberty Tax, this year’s Platinum Sponsor, led the effort with Tecnico, & Pomoco Auto Group, Gold Sponsors, and 22 hole sponsors to make a difference in children’s lives through this year’s Golf Classic.
Bettinardi Golf again provided Orphan Helpers with putters for first place, closest to the pin and longest drive prizes. The retail value of the putters nearly $10,000! Second and third place prizes, golfing foursomes, were provided by 11 local country clubs and 45 local businesses provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in raffle prizes. Our sincere thanks and appreciations go to these Orphan Helpers supporters.
